Finance Minister KN Balagopal launched the Tiruvonam bumper which is run by the Kerala State Lottery Department. The Kerala government has increased the first prize of the lottery to Rs 25 crore and last year the first prize was Rs 12 crore. Thiruvonam Bumper Lottery of 2022 printed in 10 series.
Transport Minister Antony Raju, who presided, said that the reliability and credibility of the Kerala Lottery have made it popular among the public. Balagopal said that the prizes are arranged in such a way that 5 percent of the ticket buyers will get the prize.

Cost of the Onam Bumper lottery is ₹500 per ticket and the biggest prize in the history of the state lottery is 25 crores. The second prize will be Rs.5 crore, the third prize will be Rs.1 crore for 10 winners, and the fourth prize will be Rs.1 lakh for 90 winners. 5,000 each to 72,000 winners as the fifth prize. Also, Thiruvonam Bumper offers 48,600 prizes worth ₹3,000 and 66,600 prizes worth ₹ 2,000. Tickets will be available to the general public from July 18. Lottery tickets printed with fluorescent ink have security features added to prevent fraud. As per the decision of the government, a maximum of 90 lakh tickets can be printed for the Thiruvonam bumper this year. Last year, 54 lakh Thiruvonam bumper tickets were also sold.
